BLAST Fall Final: Vitality end FaZe's streak and conquers title

Vitality managed to break FaZe's streak of three titles and 18 wins in Counter-Strike 2 by taking the BLAST Fall Final this Sunday. Finn "karrigan" was once again left without a trophy at the Royal Arena, stage of the event in Copenhagen, Denmark. The European team kept the trophy and US$200 thousand.

This was the first trophy for William "mezii", the Brit who arrived at the organization just 18 days ago, to fill the gap that Emil "Magisk" left. The champion team also underwent a change of coach and performance coach, with both signed with the Saudi org Falcons.


FaZe was overwhelmed by Vertigo and ended up losing 13 to 3. The match was super dominant by Israeli Shahar "flameZ", who was responsible for 23 kills.


Then, FaZe was losing at Nuke, but ended up managing to draw 11-11. However, the day was favoring Mathieu "ZywOo" and the 2x best in the world managed 21k and won 13-11.


FaZe was champion of IEM Sydney, Thunderpick World Championship and CS Asia Championships. This was the first event they played in CS2 without winning the trophy.

ZywOo was also named the tournament's MVP, the 17th in the career. The Frenchman said he is excited about the changes and reinforced that the more he plays, the more he loves it.


The Royal Arena will be the stage for the playoffs of the next and first CS2 Major, in March.


Vitality will play in the BLAST Premier World Final between December 13th and 17th together with FaZe, MOUZ, ENCE, G2, Natus Vincere, Cloud9 and Heroic. The US$ 1 million tournament (around R$ 4.9 million at current prices) will be in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates.
