In anticipation of the 2024 CS2 calendar, BLAST revealed this Thursday that the Spring Final will be in London at the OVO Arena Wembley. The tournament will have a total prize US$425,000 among the eight participants. The event will be from June 12th to 16th with fans present from the 14th. Tickets go on pre-sale on October 25th.
Counter-Strike returns to the British capital after four years and this will be the biggest championship since it hosted the 2018 Major, which crowned Astralis' third championship.
The OVO Arena Webley is next to Wembley Stadium and has a capacity of 12,500 people, making it the second largest indoor arena in the city. The venue has hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards, concerts from Beyoncé, Madonna, Pearl Jam, ABBA, Tina Turner and Queen.
For the CS2 event, BLAST partnered with entertainment giant Live Nation, which promotes shows around the world. The spectacle of the final will give the winner a spot at the World Final, in December 2024.
