In the last international LAN in CS:GO, MOUZ won the ESL Pro Leaague trophy, in Malta this Sunday. This was the first title since February 2020, against NAVI in the Ice Challenge. David "frozen" was the only one who remained in the line-up throughout that time. By 3-0, MOUZ won US$200 thousand and guaranteed a place in the BLAST Premier World Final and IEM Katowice 2024.
The European team came from a seven-game winning streak, only losing to MIBR in the opening match of the tournament. They beat Evil Geniuses, Heroic and MIBR in the group stage and eliminated FURIA, FaZe, G2 and ENCE in the playoffs. Finally, they won the title by defeating NAVI 16-10 in Inferno, 16-9 in Overpass and 19-15 in Mirage.
This was NAVI's first final since they switched to an international roster with the arrival of captain Aleksi "aleksib", Mihai "iM" and Justinas "jL". The organization maintained star and GOAT Aleksandr "s1mple" and Valeriy "b1t" and have been playing together for 3 months.
MOUZ won with frozen, Adam "torzi" (who played a lot!), Dorian "xertioN", tournament's MVP and 17year old Jimi "Jimpphat" and captain Kamil "siuhy". Jimmphat is brother of Jere "sergej" who played with Aleksib at ENCE between 2018 and 2019.
The championship lasted 5 weeks and marked the end of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament. The result was quite emblematic for MOUZ as they beat s1mple, voted Best Player of the Decade by ESL.
