BLAST has expanded the affiliate members in CS2 to 16, as revealed by the organizer this Friday. GamerLegion, Virtus.pro, Falcons and Team Spirit are the four new members and will participate in the Spring Groups, between January 22nd and 28th, in Denmark. BLAST revealed that with Evil Geniuses' exiting and the arrival of Cloud9, several orgs showed interest in joining.
With the 16 teams, six teams will move on to the Spring and Fall Finals and the other 10 will play in the Showdown. The increase also impacts the number of games, which will have two more MD3s in each group. There will also be a "boost" in the prize pool, which went from US$177,500 to US$190,000.
