One of the biggest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) players, Nicolai "dev1ce" has extended his contract with Astralis until the end of 2026, the organization announced this Friday. The four-time Danish Major champion joined the organization in 2016, went to NiP for 16 months in 2021, and returned "home" at the end of 2022.
I'm really happy to be here and truly enjoy being part of it all. You feel a a new optimism all around the organization, and although we still have a long way to go, I am completely calm about our future prospects and the possibilities of achieving our goals. We don't set dates and number of titles, but Astralis must be where it is the most fun to play, and that is on top. I am positive we will get there - said dev1ce.
The 28-year-old player was one of the founders of Astralis and with the org he won the ELEAGUE Major 2017, FACEIT Major 2018, IEM Katowice 2019 and Starladder Major Berlin 2019. He was also MVP in two Majors and has accumulated 19 most valuable player medals, 14 of them with Astralis.
Astralis occupies seventh place in the ranking and their next tournament is the Roobet Cup on October 25th.
