The finalists are set for the IEM Katowice playoffs: Spirit, FaZe, MOUZ, ENCE, G2 and Falcons will play at the Spodek Arena in Poland. The last two spots were revealed this Tuesday. The CS2 championship will take a two-day break and return on Friday. The grand final will be this Sunday and the event will distribute US$ 1 million.
The day started with Heroic and G2 beating their opponents. The Danish organization faced GamerLegion and to the disappointment of local fans, snax's team lost 2-1. G2 also had a Polish opponent representing Monte. By the same score, Nikola's team "NiKo" dispatched krasnal and co. G2 and Heroic faced each other for a spot in the quarterfinals and the victory was G2 sidded.
Falcons and Natus Vincere also played for the other spot in the quarterfinals. Oleksandr "s1mple"'s substitute did well with a rating of 1.36 and 34k, but Ihor "w0nderful" was unable to hold back the line-up formed by coach Danny "zonic". Falcons secured their first playoff appearance.
The other two matches were to define the two teams that would go directly to the semis. ENCE faced MOUZ and in the duel with five Poles, it was the "lone" Kamil "siuhy" who came out on top, 2-0. Spirit continued on a sensational run with Danil "donk" dictating a very high pace ingame. The 17-year-old had a rating of 1.83 in the game in which he beat FaZe 2-0.
