There was no stopping Danil "donk", from Spirit, from reaching the IEM Katowice grand final. The 17-year-old prodigy managed to maintain his performance and help the team reach the US$400,000 decision this Sunday. In this Saturday's semifinals, FaZe overcame MOUZ and Spirit easily beat Falcons at Spodek Arena, in Poland.
The two semifinals had a score of 2-0. FaZe, led by coach Filip "NEO", defeated Nuke and secured the first map 13-3. Then, Finn "karrigan" and co had a bit of a harder time in Ancient, but they managed to secure their spot in the final by 13 to 11.
In the dispute between magixx and Magisk, the magic went to the Russians from Spirit, who overpowered Falcons. At Anubis, 13 to 8 was a favorable result for donk and co. At Ancient, Falcons couldn't do anything and scored just three rounds in the first half.
The traditional tournament will end this Sunday and has a US$ 1 million prize pool.
