LoL: Faker arrives in China for Asian Games with warm reception

Faker, the greatest League of Legends player arrived in China to represent Korea in the Asian Games. The tournament starts this Saturday and the moba legend receive a warm recepion at Hangzhou airport when he arrived this Friday.

This is my first trip to China in a long time, and I always appreciate the support of my fans here - said Faker.

The LoL event starts on the 25th and runs until the 29th with 12 countries competing for medals: China, Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Macau, Korea, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia. Faker, from T1, will play alongside Zeus (T1), Kanavi (JD Gaming), Chovy (Gen G), Ruler (JD Gaming) and Keria (T1).





I'll be competing with a different set of teammates this time, and we're going to try hard to win the gold medal this year. We all come from different clubs, and so it was difficult at first to try to develop chemistry. But we get along really well and our teamwork has been improving - said the star.

The Asian Games take place every four years and were postponed from 2022 because of the Covid pandemic. The event has around 12 thousand athletes and runs until October 8th.



After the Asian Games, the focus is on the Worlds, which will be held in South Korea and has LOUD representing Brazil. The team plays on October 10th against GAM, from Vietnam. T1 only debuts in the main event on October 19th.
