End of the line for the only non-Asian team at Worlds 2023, the main League of Legends tournament. This Thursday, Weibo Gaming eliminated North American NRG by 3-0 and advanced to the semifinals in Busan, South Korea. The Chinese now wait for the winner of the match between Gen.G and Bilibili. The first semi wil be on November 11th.
Weibo didn't need five games to prove their favoritism. It was TheShy with KSante that defined the first game. The nexus was on the ground after 39 minutes in a game with very few kills: 9 to 6.
The second game was more dominant. Light, with Aphelios, was responsible for nine of the 20 kills and the victory came in 33 minutes. The third game was even faster. Xiaohu's Jayce killed 10 times and helped Weibo win in 26 minutes.
Weibo's next opponent will play this Friday. JD Gaming and KT Rolster face each other on Saturday and the last match of the quarterfinals will be between LNG and T1.
