R10 is ready to make its debut this Wednesday at Games of the Future, a tournament in the "phygital" category, which mixes electronic sports with physical modalities. The competition in Kazan, Russia, goes until March 3 and will distribute US$10 million. The tournament gathers around two thousand participants from 107 nationalities and R10 is being represented by 50 people from eight different countries, amongst players and staff.

This Wednesday, the basketball teams take the court. The cool thing is that this will actually happen in 2x2. R10 has two teams in their aministration that will compete in NBA2k and "real" basketball: R10 USA and the Spanish team Ramboot. Among the competitors Matthew "Bash." The American standout played for three franchises in the NBA2K League: Sacramento Kings, Portland Trailblazers and Cleveland Cavaliers and is one of the best in the league, having been Rookie of the Year. In this type of event, two players will compete digitally and two physically. Branquinho is the common denominator in both. On the court, Leo Branquinho, an athlete from the Brazilian 3x3 National team, will play with Brazilian Jonatas "Rhino". Ramboot has a 100% Spanish team, while R10 USA has two Brazilians, one American and one Turkish. The grand final will be on Sunday, March 3rd.

In digital basketball, the game lasts up to 19 points, after a 5-minute break, the dispute resumes on the court and lasts 7 minutes or until one team reaches 39 points first. In case of a tie, three free throws decide the winner of the match. The football and basketball events have the biggest prize pool of US$1,250,000 each.

The premise is the same in football, with efootball and the physical match in 5x5. R10 comes with CPH, a Chilean team, and with R10 Portugal, which has three Brazilians and five Portuguese players. Among Brazilians, Marcelinho and GB are runners-up in the tournament and Rodrigo Pimão, ex-Botafogo, makes his debut at the event. At CPH, Arthur Apeste and Eduardinho return for the third time to try to repeat the title won in 2023.

Renato de Sá, CEO of R10, was one of the main people responsible for bringing the organization, which also has Ronaldinho Gaúcho as a representative, to Russia. The lawyer and businessman has worked in the football business for 23 years.

We managed to mix the physical with the digital in a single competition. It was a very quick adaptation. The appeal (for R10) was to make the brand international and unite these two sports in a new modality, in an extremely modern, totally different and innovative modality (...). We are very optimistic about having a great championship. We have great teams and we can reach top 4 with the teams - said the director of the Brazilian organization at the event.

In addition to the football and basketball teams, R10 will also be represented in Battle of Robots and CS2 - with Ramboot - which will be played on PC and Laser Tag. The Russian competition has 21 disciplines, including drone racing, DOTA, hockey, skateboarding, baseball and many others.
