Mongolia's top CS2 team is in a hot streak. The MongolZ won the MESA Nomadic Masters Spring at home on June 2nd and a week later lifted another trophy, this time in Abu Dhabi. In the decisive match, The MongolZ faced Ninjas in Pajamas at YaLLa Compass and won 2-1.
To reach the final, NIP faced FURIA and won 2-0, and Astralis was beaten by the Mongols by 2-1. The championship distributed US$400,000 and half of the amount went to The Mongolz - who collected US$450,000 in prize money in just these two weeks of the tournament.
The champion team will now go to Sweden to try for the third trophy, this time at the ESL Challenger Jonkoping, which awards US$100,000 and has the participation of eight teams, including MIBR. NIP is heading to Buenos Aires to compete in the FireLeague Global Finals, which has a US$150,000 prize pool and also features eight teams, three of which are Brazilian: Red Canids, paiN and Imperial.
